Can I use PayPal or something other than credit card?Updated 9 months ago
Currently, we are only able to accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit or debit cards.
However, we do have an option available to purchase an annual membership through the Critical Role store, where PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Shop Pay and Venmo are also available payment methods.
This option does not replace gifting of memberships—annual and monthly memberships can still be paid for and gifted directly from Beacon.
After completing your purchase of Beacon annual membership from the Critical Role store, you will receive an email with a link that directs you to the page where you can find and copy a unique coupon code.
To redeem this code, there should be an option to add a coupon. This will be in different places depending on whether you are creating a new account, or applying the code to an existing account.
New account: Choose the annual membership plan, click Add coupon when it prompts you to enter your billing information, enter your code and click Apply, then just finish creating your account.
Existing account: Go to your Profile, click Manage Membership, select Add coupon, and you should be able to apply your coupon code from there.
There is no difference in benefits or access to content whether you pay for membership from the Critical Role store or directly from Beacon. The only differences are the payment methods that can be used.
A membership obtained from the Critical Role store is a one-time payment. We do not have the ability to set up recurring charges through the store. However, Beacon has its own auto-renew settings. If you add a card to your Beacon account, we recommend you set up or cancel the auto-renewal, according to your preferences.
Please note that purchases of Beacon memberships through the Critical Role store are non-refundable for any reason, and once applied to an account, cannot be transferred to apply to a different account.
