The app crashes when I try to load it on my device. How do I fix this?Updated a year ago

iPhone or iPad

You may need to force close the Beacon app to resolve streaming issues if the app freezes, or if you see a black screen or loading image when you try to watch content. Find out how to force close the app here:

iPhone X and later

1. From the homescreen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen pausing slightly in the middle of the screen.

2. Swipe right or left to find the Beacon app, then swipe up on the app’s preview to close the app


Older iPhones

1. From the homescreen, quickly press the “Home” button twice. A list of running applications should now show on the screen.

2. Simply swipe up on the app to close each app's background task.


Press the home button again to return to the homescreen and relaunch the app.


Android Phone or Tablet


Force close the Beacon app:


1. From the homescreen, tap the hamburger menu (three lines) at bottom left of the screen.

2. Now swipe up to close the Beacon app (and other apps) OR click “Close All” to exit all open apps. You can now relaunch the Beacon app.
